F-spot can export photos directly to Gallery, so I’ve installed Gallery 2 on my site now. I can now click photos in F-spot on any of my desktops, and then directly export them to the website with a couple of clicks. How cool is that?

Ha! I can do the same and more with various plug-ins to iPhoto on the Mac. Those can export to Flickr, Gallery, Coppermine, Google Picasa Web Albums, etc. The plug-in can also batch resize and rename the photos while uploading. Much cooler than F-spot
Yeah that’s great … until Apple does an upgrade which breaks your database, and then you discover that all the data relating to your thousands of pictures is locked up in an undocumented, proprietary format - unlucky you….
