Lately I haven’t been posting very much. I have been working on a few different things.
One thing is that my wife and I have secured a space in downtown Brisbane to open a new Loft centre. You can read about it here. I spent a couple of weeks working during nights with Kalpesh and Param Satya to sand and paint the floor in preparation for the first yoga classes, and then my other spare time was spent making flyers, and on the streets with Alison and Param Satya inviting people to come. A joyous sacrifice.
At the same time I have been on the “shift from hell” at work, the one with 12 straight days of work. It’s not too bad, but the current shift work is a little disorienting. Add the irregular sleeping hours from the Loft work and you have a recipe for disturbance. Anyway, I made it through, the Loft is open (although the official opening is yet to come), and I even got some time to do some coding on the ezine project in my three day mega-weekend at the end of it.
I sent out a viral email to try to raise awareness of the World Sankirtan.Net project. After the initial round of flames I have started to receive responses back from people in the US and India. This is heartening, because it means that the email is spreading beyond the initial recipients, which was the whole idea - to spread the word.
And lastly I managed to launch a wikipedia-style site for information about Hare Krishna, called Hare Krishna FAQ.
